Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn is an American actress. She is best known for her part as Skyler White in the AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. As well as playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward, she has appeared in The Practice. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in love with acting in the Preparatory stage before moving with her family to Ohio. She attended Northwestern University to study theatre and was also a student at the British American Drama Academy. Anna performed in Chicago's theater for many years prior to trying out for film and TV parts. Anna had her first big role as Arden in the TV show Down the Shore. Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in 1992. Anna continued to appear in movies as well as TV shows such Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others until late 1990's. She was then selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock played two full seasons of Deadwood and was filming during the middle 2000's. The show was recast as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Also, she starred in the Deadwood movie and Sully. Gunn appeared in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production produced by David Schwimmer. In 2022 the actress also appeared in a series of audio-play podcast titled Numbered Days. The relationship that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the plot of Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and the eventual end of their relationship mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final days of life.
